Windermere Jetty museum was the first contemporary building on the lakeshore for over 50 years and the stunning location houses a collection of boats in lake-side copper-clad buildings which aims to immerse visitors in the landscape and bring them as close as possible to the water, boats and UNESCO World Heritage landscape.
We were specified to acoustically treat the boat exhibition halls and museum cafeteria area to ensure that the acoustic ambience was fitting with the calming and beautiful surrounding views and would not steal any focus from the interior design or exhibitions on display. We applied our SonaSpray fcx acoustic spray finish to the ceilings to expertly control the noise reverberation within the spaces without impacting the design. SonaSpray fcx was chosen for its flat acoustic finish with an attractive, lightly pitted, seamless surface.
