Audrey Lovelock, having selected hard minimal surfaces like marble floors and plastered walls, knew that echo in her Grand Designs home was going to be an issue if left untreated. After researching, our Oscar Elite acoustic spray plaster was selected for its exceptionally smooth finish and superb sound absorbing properties with the added bonus of being able to repair it locally and invisibly, negating the need for expensive pre-handover re-sprays. We are also able to work from mobile towers meaning a full bird cage scaffold is not required, saving money and causing as little disruption to works as possible.
Our experienced in-house operatives installed Oscar Elite directly onto the original concrete soffit at a depth of only 25mm and up the vertical faces into the feature light lantern. The end result was a flat white finish, smoother than most conventional plastered and painted finishes, which made this potential sonic battle ground a relaxing and comfortable space in which to spend time.
Audrey and Jeff Lovelock are extremely happy with the acoustic spray plaster results and the comprehensive service received by our technical department, project management and installation teams.
