The challenge
In noisy office spaces, stress levels can escalate and productivity plummets. With several social areas designed to encourage staff interaction, the main challenge for Henrietta House was to address the echo chamber of noise created by these communal open spaces.
SonaSpray K-13 stood out as the optimal solution. The seamless, deliberately coarse spray finish absorbs sound energy dampening excessive noise in reverberant open-plan areas. Applied in grey throughout the building, it also complemented the interior colour scheme and enhanced the aesthetic appeal.

In addition to enhancing the building’s design, sustainability was also an important part of the brief. Fortunately, SonaSpray is M1 Classified as a Low Emitting Building Material, contributing towards SKA and Living Building Challenge and adding up to 17 points towards the LEED rating of a project. GREENGUARD Gold Certified for Indoor Air Quality, the SonaSpray range meets the most comprehensive standards for minimal VOC emissions into indoor air.
Fire safety was also a primary concern for the project. As a premium spray that surpasses Approved Document B fire requirements (Class 0 to BS476 & B-s1, d0 fire rating), SonaSpray was the perfect choice.

Safer, smarter and more sustainable acoustics
Since its completion, Henrietta House has been awarded Platinum status by the prestigious WELL Building Standard®, in recognition of its user-centric design and finish. The use of SonaSpray supported this achievement as the range satisfies many features under the standard. In fact, Delos, the company that founded WELL® used SonaSpray fcx throughout their HQ offices. As you would expect, this building is built to the very highest standard of WELL and to achieve LEED v4 Platinum and Living Building Challenge certification.
