In 2020, Oscar Acoustics became ISO 14001 certified. The changes we made as part of the 14001 process, made us realise we could go even further. We are now extremely proud to say that we have now been independently certified by Positive Planet, as being Carbon Neutral as a company. This includes our entire operation, including the transportation of our products.

Our range of products has been designed with every client, project and budget in mind, providing acoustic performance with unrivalled green credentials. These not only satisfy sustainable design certification systems like BREEAM (achieving maximum points for our element of the works), SKA, Living Building Challenge, Cradle2Cradle and LEED, they also tick every box for indoor environmental and air quality; very much the current hot topic for the built environment.

The range is also covered by an Environmental Product Declaration in accordance with ISO 14025. All these credentials enable the SonaSpray range to contribute towards satisfying many features under the WELL Building Standard®.

And there is no finer reference for our spray applied products than Delos, the company that founded the WELL Building Standard, using SonaSpray fcx throughout their HQ. The architects Gensler recommending the product to the client’s specification team who were looking for materials with very specific environmental qualities. As you would expect, this building is built to the very highest standard of WELL and to achieve LEED v4 Platinum and Living Building Challenge certification.

Product quality and consistency is also of major importance so is under continual development. When using new materials, it is easy to control this, but recycled content has to be the priority. In order to control this, SonaSpray is manufactured by ICC to ISO 9001 and is installed using an Oscar Acoustics four stage quality assurance plan.
